Community Living at Magnolias of Branchville.

From activities and family gatherings to quiet conversations on the front porch, everyday life is filled with opportunities to connect, participate and feel at home.

LIFE AT MAGNOLIAS OF BRANCHVILLE

Small routines that make up a good day.

Because every resident’s abilities are different, the day here blends scheduled group time with quiet, individual attention. Mornings often start with a gentle movement activity like armchair yoga, followed by simple, familiar tasks: folding laundry, wiping down tables, for residents who are able and interested. Lunch is served at noon, followed by a group nostalgia program, in person or on a screen, and afternoons often move outdoors when the weather allows.

FAMILIAR MOMENTS

Ordinary days, made meaningful.

Life at Magnolias of Branchville is shaped less by a schedule than by small, familiar moments.

It might be a staff member remembering exactly how someone likes their coffee. A resident finding quiet satisfaction in folding a stack of towels. An afternoon in the courtyard when the weather cooperates. A visit from Dream, our resident beagle, making her rounds.

These moments help residents feel like themselves, not like they’re simply being looked after.

Our community stays intentionally small and personal, with room for connection, and just as much room for quiet, private time when that’s what someone needs.

Community living highlights

A close-knit atmosphere

In a community of 20 residents, families and staff quickly get to know one another and become part of each other’s daily lives.

Activities suited to each person

From gentle movement like armchair yoga to simple hands-on tasks, activities are shaped around what each resident can enjoy and manage.

A secure courtyard to enjoy

A gated courtyard with a walking path, gazebo, and lavender garden gives residents a comfortable outdoor space to relax or take a short walk whenever the weather allows.

Visits that bring extra warmth

Dream, a friendly beagle, stops by three or four times a week and has become a familiar, comforting presence for residents, families, and staff alike.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESIDENTS

Days shaped around what residents enjoy.

Our activity program is built around familiar, low-pressure moments rather than a packed schedule.

Residents can choose how involved they’d like to be. Participation is always welcome, but the day stays theirs.

Activities and experiences include:

Social games & gatherings

Group games, conversations and informal gatherings give residents opportunities to laugh, interact and enjoy time together.

Family events & celebrations

Families are encouraged to remain involved in residents’ lives. Special occasions and community events create opportunities to spend meaningful time together.

A daily nostalgia program

Held after lunch, in person or on a screen, our nostalgia program brings residents together around shared memories.

Family-style dining

Meals are shared, family style, and paced to each resident rather than rushed through on a schedule.

Beauty & self-care

Our on-site beauty parlor gives residents a chance to relax and enjoy a little extra personal attention.

One-to-one connection

Not every meaningful moment happens in a group. Individual conversations, visits and quieter activities are equally important parts of community life.

STAYING CONNECTED TO SANTEE

Convenient transportation when residents need it.

Transportation can help residents get to appointments, run errands, or simply stay connected to the wider community.
